Detroit-style pizza isn't just a shape — it's a philosophy. Thick, airy dough. Crispy, caramelized cheese edges. Chunky sauce on top. It's pizza done the right way, the hard way, the way it's always been done in the 313.

We started small — a humble trailer in Austin — and word spread fast. The people of Texas had never tasted anything quite like it. By the time we planted roots in Houston, we weren't just serving pizza. We were sharing a piece of home, a piece of Detroit, with every single square slice.

2011

The Detroit Dream

Brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt grow up eating Detroit-style pizza in their hometown. The love for square slices, crispy edges, and thick crust becomes a lifelong obsession.

2012

From Michigan to Texas

The Hunt brothers relocate to Austin, Texas. Craving the pizza of home and finding none, they decide to do something about it — and build their first trailer kitchen.

2013

Via 313 Opens Its Doors

The first Via 313 trailer opens in Austin to immediate buzz. Austinites experience Detroit-style pizza for the first time — and the response is electric. Lines form daily.

2015

Austin Expansion

Demand grows beyond what one trailer can handle. Via 313 expands to multiple Austin locations, earning rave reviews, local awards, and a fiercely loyal following.

2018

National Recognition

Food publications and national media take notice. Via 313 is featured in major culinary outlets, cementing its reputation as one of America's best Detroit-style pizza destinations.

2022

Houston, We've Arrived

Via 313 brings its bold Detroit flavor to Houston, TX. Opening at 10201 Katy Fwy, the Houston location quickly becomes a community favorite in one of America's most food-loving cities.
